Revolutionary reduction in electricity consumption
The completely refurbished heating system at the Nuremberg exhibition center. Conclusion: With the new Zortström centerpiece, the water flows were decoupled so effectively that pump operation and the associated power consumption could be revolutionarily reduced.
22 system circuits with 42 MW
22 system circuits with a total output of 42 MW are connected to the Zortström Center in the boiler house of the Nuremberg Trade Fair and serve three temperature stages. The middle temperature stage absorbs the heat that is recovered via the flue gas heat exchangers for condensing boiler utilization.
Zortström stands for
- completely decoupled water flows
- perfectly functioning hydraulics from partial to full load
- energy-saving collection and distribution of heat
- independently operating pumps that do not overlap or influence each other
- a consistently balanced water pressure
- an optimum, even supply to the mixing valves
- demand-oriented, efficient heat transport to the point of use
